The NBA may be at a crossroads in the sense that there could be serious changes with upcoming expansion and the lack of a game changing talent from the USA in his prime to be the face of the league but the element of playoff drama is certainly one thats not fading anytime soon. Especially now that the Finals are here and they feature two storied franchises looking for the pot of gold including the biggest insufferable giant of them all. WOOF!

I knew this day would eventually come. I knew that it was only a matter of time before Boston failed to continue the annual traditions of NBA fans laughing at the 76ers choking in the playoffs. Well guss what? The Celtics once again played down to their competition. And this time around they won’t be getting away with it because for the first time in franchise history they blew a 3-1 series lead. Jump for joy Sixers fans. Your frustrations against the Lucky Charm merchants are over.

If you were to tell me back in 2017 or 2018 that the NBA would have this much parity right now I’d have laughed you out the door. Well this is the world we live and these are the hands we’re given. This postseason has featured drama and chaos to the bone. If the Finals matchup is any indication, Adam Silver’s plan for unlimited parity has been successful.

Even when the Rockets exceed expectations and emergence into a contender for the first time since the Harden Era, the Basketball Gods gave them the worst punishment of all. Losing to the Golden State Warriors… in the playoffs… in a home Game 7… YET AGAIN! In other words we have found our answer to LeBronto everyone while DubNation gets to dunk on the Lakers failure even more than they already have.

Boy I have been waiting to post this piece of writing from the moment Nico Harrison fell for Adam Silver’s mindcontrol spell at the trade deadline. All of the talk coming out of both Lakers fans and the media about how they were going to steamroll the Western Conference was insufferable. The Shannon Sharpe “Lakers in 5” clips further strengthened my case of wanting them out in the 1st Round. Well I got my wish in the most insane way possible. Alright time to dunk on the LakeShow YET AGAIN!

The NBA has gone under the radar in terms of National Coverage this year but as of right now thats not the case. The playoffs are just getting started and all I know is that there will be excitement and dejection everywhere you look around this league. But I must ask? How will the NBA find a way to join the NFL and MLB in the Predictable Final Showdown Club?

OH BOY! The NBA for a while was probably the only one of the major four sports in America without a true face of the league. Now they have that even though I hate the team who has said player. Because of these events especially involving both LA and the Bay Area, the Western Conference has become an absolute madhouse and its once again up for grabs. GO TO WAR MISS AGNES!

Its honestly interesting that I have done an NBA 2nd Half preview for both BRS and Penn State Sports Night. (Trust me this is better than the efforts I gave on the air) Crazy I know. Anyways, like most of the past few years, this league has turned into chaos and offensive fireworks with no defense at every corner. The Eastern Conference in particular is nothing but that. Except for a few teams.
