The NFL playoffs, where chaos, unpredictability, and crazy storylines are high in the air. The Football Gods have plans for every team, your playoff bracket being busted is like getting EA’d in Madden. Before we reveal the Super Bowl matchup lets see how the other 12 teams did?
Las Vegas Raiders (A Reverse Curse): There should be no shame for the Raiders season coming to an end. The fact that they made the playoffs with everything that came their way is a miracle. Although there is one problem. Remember how Cincinnati ruined Bo Jackson’s career in the 1990 playoffs thus putting a curse on the Bengals, well Joe Burrow made sure they wouldn’t forget about it. Revenge was on the menu for much of the game. Burrow basically did what he wanted to but the only reason this game wasn’t a blowout was because Vegas had a few good stands on defense. For a moment it looked like the Bungles of old would return thanks to Derek Carr leading another great 2 minute drive. However it stalled at the goal line thanks to an interception. Cincy gets their 1st playoff win since 1990 in the process. Raiders I wouldn’t be shamed about this loss. It was a great season and hopefully they’ll be back. Considering how loaded the AFC West could be I’m not so sure anymore. Hiring Josh McDaniels is a bold move, but he at least is much more prepared than he was in Denver. Where’s the next Tim Tebow for him to draft?
New England Patriots (2021 Mac Jones = 1994 Drew Bledsoe): Who saw this coming for the Patriots, an outstanding season undone by one game. Turns out that we may have a new AFC power. This to me was the worst loss that the Patriots have suffered since the 2009 Wild Card game. Just like that game they were beaten right from the word go. I can’t remember a Belichick defense getting torched this badly in a playoff game ever. As for the offense, Mac Jones like Drew Bledsoe against Cleveland in 1994 deserves no criticism. He was the only source of optimism while the rest of the team didn’t show up. Yes Jones threw 2 picks and was constantly pressured but this game isn’t on him. Buffalo was just the better team. If I’m a Patriots fan I still have hope for the future. All they need is a big game wide receiver and they should be Super Bowl Contenders again. (Allen Robinson would look very nice in a Pats uniform) I wouldn’t take this loss personally, just a learning experiment for future runs. You’ll be back Bill, just don’t let the critics get to you.
Pittsburgh Steelers (Groundhog Day): The End of an Era. It’s too bad that the Steelers had to face a real team. And not just any real team, they had to face Kansas City. This is why I didn’t want the Ravens in the playoffs in the 1st place. It’s because of the outcome you saw here. Early on Pittsburgh just out to a 7-0 lead thanks to the glories of TJ Watt. BOOM! Then they realized that they indeed woke a sleeping giant. Patrick Mahomes and the Wild West Variety Show carved up Keith Butler’s defense after that. Trick plays, gadgets, smash mouth football you name it. This isn’t as bad of a loss as last year’s game to the Browns was. This game they were supposed to get killed. Honestly I have no clue what the Steelers will do this offseason without Big Ben or Colbert. (And Keith Butler retired as well, that too) Many key players are FAs over the next couple seasons, and they never prepared for this. (JuJu, Eric Ebron, James Washington, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Cam Heyward, Joe Haden, Joe Schobert, Stephon Tuitt) Be comforted YinzerMob, you didn’t suffer the fate your neighbors did. (STILLERS GHANTA SUPER BOWL in the Yinzers hearts)
Philadelphia Eagles (The Philly Circus): Whoever was picking Eagles vs Steelers in Super Bowl LVI is eating their words big time. I mean whoever made that pick must live in PA or attend Penn State, Pitt, or Villanova. Really? THIS PRODUCT WOULD UPSET THE DEFENDING CHAMPS AT RAYMOND JAMES! What I saw in this game was one team getting completely exposed. Jalen Hurts looked like Donovan McNabb at Giants Stadium in the 2000 playoffs. No help around him, a Super Bowl Contender as his opponent, and building a wall around the line of scrimmage to stop him. It got so bad that Eagles fans were calling for Gardiner Minshew at halftime. (If Wentz were there they would have wanted him too) The defense did Nick Sirriani no favors as Tom Brady did whatever he wanted. When are people going to learn that you don’t play zone against TB12? He will pick it apart. The final score of this game doesn’t reflect what actually happened. The Eagles were a team that coasted to the playoffs thanks to an easy schedule and then got smacked by the Class of the NFC. Philadelphia has options this offseason. They have 3 1st Round picks this year and the following year they will have the most cap space in the league. Lorie and Roseman I have 1 request. Please ace those moves. (Their draft record recently is BAAAAAAAD!)
Dallas Cowboys (The New Age Washington Capitals): CONGRATULATIONS YOUR TEAM STILL! CAN’T MAKE IT PAST THE 2ND ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS! (In the words of YouTuber UrinatingTree) This time there was plenty of controversy. REFBALL happened, the lack of big plays happened, getting roasted by Nickelodeon happened, and Mike McCarthy. I could have told you this when he was coaching the Packers. Unless High End Talent saves the day he will get out coached at the worst times. That’s why Aaron Rodgers has only 1 ring instead of 3 or 4. Dak Prescott was pedestrian but the 49ers defense was suffocating the Dallas O-Line. They didn’t have Bosa for much of the game and they still couldn’t be stopped. Cowboys fans you got the successor to Dez Bryant against the Packers in 2014. A controversial call to end the season. You don’t snap the ball before the official touches it. If they did it would have been a 10 second runoff and they would have lost anyways. (Plus the officials gave Dallas 8 extra seconds on the 49ers final drive thanks to not knowing how to reset the game clock) Now we get to hear Jerry Jones and his deep state conspiracies all summer long. You know how you don’t get in this situation. DON’T COMMIT 14 PENALTIES BY GETTING IN YOUR WAY! Cowboys fans enjoy your time on the golf course this offseason. You deserve it just like every year for the last 25 years. HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!! (Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs deserve better than this sideshow)
Arizona Cardinals (Kyler Murray Minus 1 DeAndre Hopkins): What a difference one player can make. When DeAndre Hopkins is healthy Kyler Murray is an MVP candidate, when he isn’t Murray is a massive underachiever. (Ask Deshawn Watson that question too) This game against the Rams is exactly why. In a game that should have been a classic the Cardinals shot themselves in the foot. Turnovers, penalties, and the inability to pass the ball on the Rams defense. They made Matt Stafford look like he was back in 2011 form. That’s embarrassing! (Stafford now gets the playoff monkey off his back) What else is embarrassing. Odell Beckham had a better QBR than Kyler did. This game proves that a Run and Shoot/AirRaid offense doesn’t succeed in the playoffs. And it’s unusual to see a team with that kind of offense go far. The question I have with Arizona is do they have enough for a championship. All I can say is you better have lineman and a RB drafted in the 1st 2 Rounds. Because if you don’t you won’t stand a chance against Pokemon McVay for years to come. At least the future is bright for the Cards I guess.
Buffalo Bills (Hunted down by a Wolf AGAIN): This game is epitome of the Bills Franchise. When all of the stars are aligning for their 1st Super Bowl, the Football Gods crush those hopes at the 11th hour. Playing against the team that beat them like a drum a year ago was considered the perfect scenario for a revenge story. This game was the equivalent of Bucks vs Nets in Game 7. Gabriel Davis and Stefon Diggs looked like Andre Reed and James Lofton out there in this game. Josh Allen was torching the Chiefs defense for almost 400 yards But here is the problem, Buffalo’s #1 defense had no answers for the Legion of Zoom. Just when you thought the Bills would pull away, Kansas City always had an answer. You scored a TD on a 4th and 13 to take the lead, well Tyreek Hill happened, how bout now with scoring perhaps the most glorious TD in team history, well too bad because Leslie Frazier went into prevent defense against Patrick Mahomes. And the Chiefs got the ball in OT and scored there too. Many are saying that the Bills shouldn’t have kicked it deep after their go ahead TD with 13 seconds left. The reason they prevented a return was because they were burned by this in 1999. (They didn’t want another Music City Miracle) If I’m a Bills fan I wouldn’t take this loss too seriously, even if Cap Hell is coming next year there is still optimism for the future with Josh Allen and that offense. You’ll be back here again, just get a run game and O-Line and you’ll be good. It’s too bad someone had to lose.
Tennessee Titans (2000 and 2008 all in one game): I can safely say that the Titans deserve every single negative thought that comes their way. Way to mess up an AFC Title game at home that was all but given to you. Even worse, you guys learned absolutely nothing from last year’s loss in the Wild Card game. Look at what happened. Getting 9 sacks on Joe Burrow and still losing the game, Derrick Henry only having 60 yards rushing, squandering golden opportunities to open up the game, Ryan Tannehill throwing 3 interceptions including one at the end of the game thanks to Mike Vrabel being stubborn. Also going for 2 points early in the game and a 4th and 1 only to fail. All of this screams one thing, YOU ARE THE POOR MANS DALLAS COWBOYS! Failures and Underachievers at every angle there is. Remember how you guys mocked the Ravens 2 years ago, now you know how we felt. It didn’t end there; the grandstands were full of Bengals fans. (If last year’s Wild Card game had 100% capacity, 50% of Nissan Stadium would have been Ravens fans) Keep calling the NFL Derrick Henry’s kids, you deserve this loss, now you have left us with possibly the New Frontier of the AFC. If Cleveland was playing Cincy in the AFC Title game I would lose it. Even worse, you made sure Patrick Mahomes wouldn’t have to play a playoff game on the road for the 1st time in his career. (He should have played in snowy Baltimore 2 years ago but got lucky there too) Enjoy dealing with that Tannehill contract, OH WAIT!
Green Bay Packers (Matt LaFleur = Newage Andy Reid): This is one of the most despicable wastes of talent that I have ever seen in the NFL. (I don’t want to be cynical here but in this case I have to be because of what happened at Lambeau) All of the talent on the Packers and they proceed to lay one of the biggest eggs in recent memory. This should have been a blowout at all costs. The 49ers record at Lambeau speaks for itself. But here are the reasons why Green Bay went 1 and done. Their O-Line had no answers for the San Francisco pass rush, the defense played outstanding yet crumbled at the end. The real reason why they lost? SPECIAL TEAMS! (Something that would drive John Harbaugh crazy) A blocked field goal before halftime, and a blocked punt for a touchdown in the 4th Quarter was how the 49ers got back in the game. Even worse the Packers offense went awalled after the opening drive. Thus we get a stunning upset. I rumored this last year and now it might be true. Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams may have played their last games in a Packers uniform. Both are FAs but they can’t afford them. Why? THEY ARE ALREADY ALMOST 50 MILLION OVER THE CAP! Just like the Favre years this team could have been a potential dynasty but it slipped away thanks to their own doing. Well at least you won a Super Bowl in 2010. (Wisconsin at least you have the Bucks, don’t let those bandwagon Nets fans dictate your fate in the meantime)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Dealing with a Harsh Future): Well, at least you made it a game in the end. It’s too bad that the season had to end the way it did. The Buccaneers were short handed for much of the 2nd Half of the season, but I’ll give them credit for trying their best to make it back to the Super Bowl. Playing against a Rams team that beat them earlier in the season without key players on both sides was a death blow. Yet despite being down 27-3 in the 3rd Quarter, Tampa Bay came storming back. The wonders of Tom Brady and the help of the butterfingers of Cam Akers helped the Bucs to tie the game at 27. But unfortunately for TB12, HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY! The Rams get bailed out by High End Talent. This was a rough loss for Brady, and it just happened to be the final game of his immortal career. I don’t think he retired based on declining abilities, I just felt like he wanted to be with his family. (His oldest child is now in High School, and he wants to see him as much as possible) Plus if the GOAT retired I’m guessing Gronk is going with him. Without those 2 the Bucs may be going back to the years of mediocrity again. Not to mention Cap Hell is coming this offseason. Well the Super Bowl win in 2020 was fun while it lasted I guess.
Kansas City Chiefs (WHY!): I have come to a firm consensus. The last game was one that the Chiefs weren’t meant to win. Yes they pulled off a miracle against Buffalo, and took a 21-3 lead in this game, but like last year the Chiefs should be blaming no one but themselves for their elimination. The defense held Joe Burrow in check in the 1st Half, yet let him off the hook in the 2nd Half, Eric Beinemy playing for the TD before halftime, Patrick Mahomes running for his life and forcing things, and Orlando Brown Jr folding in a big spot YET AGAIN! (Chiefs we tried warning you) You thought the Full Reid narratives were dead, they’re back and it would be even funnier had the Texans not choked in 2019. Don’t call me a Salty Marylander, get out of here with that nonsense. The worst part for the Chiefs is that once again Cap Hell is at their doorstep. They have limited space thanks to investing 58% of their cap into 5 players. (Mahomes, Hill, Kelce, Jones, Clark) Tyrann Mathieu and Melvin Ingram loom large. ESPN, remember how you guys said that their playstyle on offense would win them a Super Bowl again. This is the NFL, offense sells tickets but defense wins championships. Have fun paying the debt this offseason! (“The moment Walker Hayes stepped into Arrowhead was when I knew they would lose” -UrinatingTree) Fancy Like Arrowhead on a Game Night indeed!
San Francisco 49ers (Am I not shocked): Why did I pick these guys to upset the Rams? Every time Kyle Shanahan goes into a game like this against a stacked team on paper he always blows it. This game is Exhibit A. Scoring 17 unanswered points and making Matt Staffords life a living hell should be game over. NOPE! In fact he made the same mistakes that he did in 28-3 and the Super Bowl against Kansas City. ABANDON THE RUN GAME! I get that Aaron Donald and Von Miller were unstoppable against the run but WHY? Jimmy G is a good QB but he was beat up by the Rams pass rush. Even worse the defense kept Cooper Kupp in check for 3 quarters but not the 4th. When LA took the lead the pain that Bay Area fans experienced in Super Bowls XLVII and LIV plus the 2013 NFC Title game returned thanks an ugly duckling throw by Garoppolo. Speaking of Jimmy G, what will they do after this season? If they trade him they owe him 25 million in dead cap and would be 20 million over the Cap. If he’s gone they would fling themselves right into Cap Hell. This would be easier if you made it to the big game, even worse you allowed Stan Kroenke and an LA Superteam to get a Super Bowl in their own stadium. “Um boy, that escalated quickly. I mean that really got out of hand fast.” PAUSE.
It’s obvious to the seeing eye that the NFL can be scripted at times. Somewhere Roger Goodell is counting the amount of money that this league has earned thanks to the sold tickets and TV revenue in these playoffs. Plus the ratings and storylines that the Big Game will get. Show us Contestant #1.
Cincinnati Bengals: CINCINNATI! They made the Super Bowl! This team was a punching bag a few years ago. All of the failures under Marvin Lewis, Mike Brown making knee jerk moves that bit them in the long run, the massive tank brigade, Zac Taylor almost getting fired, Joe Burrow tearing his ACL the previous year, a brutal AFC North and having the worst O-Line in football on paper. They got their act together! How foolish was I. This year like most years the Bengals went for the mystery box and pretended that they could compete with what they had despite holes on the roster. Turns out that worked in their favor. The regular season was a step for them in terms of building for the future. The question that was had on this team was how much of their success was on them, or just that their division self-destructed. When the AFC North had an imploding Cleveland, injury riddled Baltimore, and past prime Pittsburgh, there were many doubts in terms of whether Cincy was good or not. The playoffs proved it. They escaped the claws of the Raiders despite nearly blowing the game, they literally broke the Tennessee Titans, and then shocked everyone by beating the Chiefs. Unlike previous Super Bowl teams the Bengals success wasn’t mostly due to the front office, it was due to 2 generational players coming from the powerhouse of LSU. Joe Burrow and JaMarr Chase. Those 2 were the main engines on a Tigers team that went unbeaten in 2019 on their way to the National Championship. Their big game experience in college has guided this young team along the way. Burrow had many questions around him following a torn ACL. Having to compete with Lamar Jackson, Big Ben, and Baker Mayfield twice a year is a daunting task in terms of AFC North QB’s is not easy. Burrow not only outperformed all 3 (plus Tyler Huntley) but did something that no #1 pick has ever done in his 2nd year, make the Super Bowl. Chase on the other hand has become the 2nd coming of Randy Moss. Not only is he fast, but he can also win the 50-50 ball. His drop concerns were huge in training camp, but in reality, Chase described it as “Toying with the media.” This season he set the rookie record for most receiving yards in a season. When I think of him I think of his performance against the Chiefs and Ravens, the 2 teams they had to beat and torching them for a combined 600 yards in 3 games. He has had a Moss type impact around the league and it shows. If those 2 aren’t enough, they’ll sneak in Joe Mixon, Tyler Boyd, and Tee Higgins to help out the cause. (Now watch them get Justin Jefferson next year because Burrow) Their defense has been the main storyline for this team in the playoffs. With Burrow and the offense being up and down at times, this unit led by DC Lou Anamulo (We don’t talk about him -Ravens fans) has carried this squad for much of the season. Led by the acquisition of Trey Hendrickson, ballhawking linebackers in Logan Wilson, and Jermaine Pratt, plus hard hitting safeties in Vonn Bell, and Jessie Bates this unit has lived up to local expectations. They took the wrecking ball of Derrick Henry, plus the Chiefs receiving core and destroyed them. Another weapon on this team that is reliable besides Burrow. A man who had perhaps the greatest rookie season by a kicker in league history. Evan McPherson, he went from a guy who struggled at the beginning of the season, to a man who hasn’t missed a kick in 3 months. Now localists are comparing him to Justin Tucker with how many clutch kicks he has made in the playoffs. (It pains me to say it but he and Burrow likely are better than Tucker and Lamar going forward. Ouch) I will say Zac Taylor has proven many people wrong this season myself included, last year many people wanted him fired after being exposed game in and game out. This is one of the few things Mike Brown has gotten right over his tenure. If he doesn’t keep Taylor around, this team might still be in rebuilding mode, they probably play 2nd fiddle to Baltimore and Pittsburgh, and still have Top 10 picks. But he saw that Taylor had built a good team with Burrow leading the way, and now look at what this has led to. Their 1st Super Bowl in 33 years. I might be biased for saying this but it reminds me of the 2000 Ravens. Years of waiting for a winner, finding the right identity, the city rallying behind them, and shocking the world in the playoffs as underdogs. They may not have the swagger and talent that the Ravens had that year, but when you’re hot it doesn’t matter. The most insane part of all of this is? They have effectively triggered the entirety of Cleveland. Because they have a chance to do what a Browns team hasn’t done in 57 years and what Machine Gun Kelly said that the Browns would do back at the NFL Draft. This could be Cincinnati’s time, considering how hard their division is who knows how many chances like this that they will have going forward. But as a fan of a rival I want them to cherish these moments, win or lose. That fanbase like them or not needs something good for once. Their 1st Pro Title since the 1990 Reds. Who will they be getting their chance against?
Los Angeles Rams: When I saw these guys in Baltimore back in Week 17 I never thought that they would make it to the Super Bowl. Sometimes this is how the NFL works. Teams make you eat your words because they have something to prove. The Rams are a perfect example. No team has spent more money over the last 5-6 seasons than LA, and most of the moves that they have made panned out in their favor. 3 years ago, this squad made it to a Super Bowl on the backs of Jared Goff, Todd Gurley, Brandon Cooks, Marcus Peters, and other key stars plus some help from REFBALL in the NFC Championship. However they dealt with #EXECUTE-ORDER-66 in Super Bowl LIII. Despite a good performance by their defense, the Rams still lost since Sean McVay went away from his gameplan. Many said after they missed the playoffs in 2019 that their loss in the Super Bowl was their only shot. Considering how much money that they had to pay Goff, Gurley, Aaron Donald, and Jalen Ramsey there were reasons for being cynical about their future. This season they went all in on trying to become the 2nd team in history to play a Super Bowl in their own stadium. Trading a King’s Ransom to the Lions for Matthew Stafford, trading a few depth pieces for Von Miller, bringing in OBJ and others. Early on the Rams were a sexy Super Bowl Contender but they hit a wall midseason. 3 straight losses after a 7-1 start hurt them but then they won 5 of their last 6 despite giving their fans a panic attack in those games. I had questions about their consistency entering the playoffs, and they proved me wrong. In the Wild Card game they crushed Arizona in every phase of the game, they blew a 27-3 lead against Tampa Bay yet still won the game in the final seconds. Finally they were able to overcome their longtime boogeyman in the NFC Championship game. The Rams are a team that has both big name players and outstanding pieces to work with. Unlike their inner city neighbors in the Lakers they have all of the talent but none of the cancer on the team. Leading the way on offense happens to be the aforementioned Matthew Stafford. After years of carrying the Detroit Lions and being the best QB they have had since Bobby Layne, Stafford brought his elite play to the City of Angels. This year he not only won his 1st playoff game in his career, he has shed every bad narrative that has come his way. (Not to mention he has gotten advice from Dodgers pitcher and best friend Clayton Kershaw on how to overcome his playoff demons) The weapons he has at receiver are loaded. Arguably the best receiver in football in Cooper Kupp putting together a season that would make Calvin Johnson proud. (Stafford played with Megatron in Detroit as well) Robert Woods is out for the year but his role has been filled in nicely by Van Jefferson. Tyler Higbee is the big body Tight End that allows them to execute McVay’s play action heavy offense. But the biggest star at WR this postseason is a man who desperately needed a spark. Odell Beckham Jr, in Cleveland he never got on the same page with Baker Mayfield. The way Browns fans treated him gave him a bad taste in his mouth. Then they release him and he quickly gets picked up by LA and becomes a game changer overnight like he was with the Giants. (Odell on the Rams = PK Subban on the Predators) The offensive line led by 40 year old Andrew Whitworth has had their problems at times but they are still able to create holes for Cam Akers, and Sony Michel. The defense has been rock solid all season long. Leonard Floyd realized the potential that he had in Chicago in 2018 and produced a career year, Troy Reeder doing exactly what I said about Floyd. Michael Brockers is gone but his void has been filled nicely by A’Shawn Robinson. Plus Darious Williams is emerging as a legit #2 CB. But the main stars on defense are the definition of household names. Eric Weddle, the former captain of the Ravens defense from 2016-18 comes out of retirement and has added value at safety. Von Miller, a former Super Bowl MVP with the Broncos, back on a real team and producing like he did in Denver. They have arguably the best corner in the NFL in Jalen Ramsey and his abilities to shut down the other teams #1 receiver. Those are great players, but they pale in comparison to one man, that man happens to be a generational talent in Aaron Donald. It doesn’t matter who you have blocking him, it doesn’t matter what you do to stop him at the line of scrimmage he will destroy your offensive game plan. Also don’t run right at him inside the 5 yard line, you’re in trouble there. The idea of the Rams buying their way to a championship isn’t just vintage LA, but also vintage Stan Kroenke. The Rams aren’t the only team he has done this with. He has done this with Arsenal FC in the English Premier League and it has turned them into a contender every year regardless of fans opinions about player salary. (“GET OUT OF OUR CLUB!” -Arsenal fans) Even though he isn’t the majority owner of them, it’s the same with Colorado Avalanche. The moves that his son Josh Kroenke made to get rid of Matt Duchane and allow Nathan MacKinnon to become the next Joe Sakic with the talent around him is amazing to watch. Even though that family took the Rams out of St Louis, and expanded their ranch in Texas they know what they are doing in terms of team building and spending money to do so. There is one more guy we need to mention, Sean McVay. One of most creative and motivated coaching minds in league history. His ability to play the right hand at the right time and keep his guys loose during bad times is fun to watch. He is the NFL’s version of Ash Ketchum from Pokemon for a reason. A man who does everything to perfect his craft, and even if it doesn’t lead to instant success, it won’t stop him trying. (Even Ketchum himself eventually won a Pokemon tournament after years of coming up short, McVay can do the same in Super Bowl LVI) The Rams franchise hasn’t won a Super Bowl since 1999 which was when they were in St Louis, but the city of Los Angeles hasn’t seen an NFL Championship since 1951. That year the Rams defeated the mighty Cleveland Browns thanks to the 2 headed monster of a QB that they called Bob Waterfield and Norm Van Brocklin destroying Paul Brown and his revolutionary approach on both offense and defense. (“Raging Tom Fears gathers it in on the dead run!” That was the call of TE Tom Fears’ game winning touchdown in that game) It’s either going to be the ending of the Bengals Legacy of Failure, or the conclusion to the Rams 70 year title drought in LA. Pokemon McVay against the poor man’s version of him. WHO’S GONNA WIN IT?!
Prediction: I know a lot of people are rooting for the Bengals to win it all but I’ll be blunt. I’m a fan of a division rival. I don’t want them to win. I do not want to live in the New Frontier of the AFC North which has them and Cleveland possibly at the top of the division for years to come. The only thing that makes this team unlikable is that their fans are turning into the #Sacksonville bandwagon. But to be honest all of the stars are aligning for them to win the Super Bowl. No one thought Burrow and Chase would beat Clemson and Trevor Lawrence in the National Title game in the 2019-20 season. Yet they pulled it off. This matchup will be harder for them though. The Rams have done everything in their power to make it to the Super Bowl at SoFi. Even if Burrow and Chase continue their outstanding play I’m not sure it will be enough. That’s why I’m picking the Rams to win in a close game. Not because I hate Cincinnati, but because I just think it’s the Rams time. Knowing what I just said, the Bengals will win the Super Bowl this year, and Cleveland will get Deshawn Watson and win Super Bowl LVII in Arizona next year. Because that’s how my life works!
