Super Bowl LVII Preview

I was expecting tension and insanity during these playoffs. And guess what, we got just that. The NFL is a soap opera that drives talk radio no matter where you go. This postseason is the definition of such thinking. Enough of my talk, let’s get to the teams headed for the elimination room.

Miami Dolphins (Frozen Fish and Peas): They did better than anyone thought they would do. Losing Tua and Teddy Bridgewater to injury should have been the kiss of death for Miami. But they somehow managed to keep up. Everyone will say that Skylar Thompson had a good outing but that was mostly because Tyreek Hill was carrying that offense kicking and screaming. The only reason why this was even close was because the Bills kept getting in their own way. If Buffalo had to play either Baltimore or Pittsburgh they probably would lose that game. On this day they got the Dolphins B team featuring Mike McDaniel and his knee jerk philosophies late in the game. If Miami doesn’t burn 3 timeouts because of horrible play calling or Tua doesn’t get hurt, the Fish win this game. But that’s just a What If Report. This may have been their shot. Cap Hell is coming in the offseason, they have a ton of free agents pending in the next two years, and no 1st Round picks until 2025. This is the price of going all in, if it doesn’t work, punishment must be faced. (The Tyreek Hill and Bradley Chubb contracts are going to hold this team back for the next five years aren’t they?)

Los Angeles Chargers (When Will You Ever Learn): Don’t you dare give me that stunned look about how the Chargers blew a 27-0 lead in a game they were dominating. That is deceiving! People will tell me that it was a comeback for the ages by Jacksonville. BUT DO THEY NOT UNDERSTAND THE HISTORY OF THE CHARGERS!? This is a franchise that has done nothing but waste generational players, a blow what should be winnable games in the worst way. Think about it. The Bolts picked off Trevor Lawrence four times in the 1st Half. 4! And yet it still wasn’t enough. This game was proof why Brandon Staley was clearly the product of Aaron Donald. All the money spent on the defense this offseason and it couldn’t stop them from getting in their own way. The fact that they even made the playoffs despite flaws in coaching is only due other teams’ self-destructions, an easy schedule to end the year, and the NFL having money on them because they play in LA. You can fire Joe Lombardi all you want but as long as Staley is there they will continue to disappoint everyone. Not only that but Justin Herbert will be begging for a massive extension this offseason and they’re already $20M over the cap. The Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack contracts are going to hold them back for years. And it may cost them Herbert in the long run. NO SOUP FOR YOU SPANOS! GET BACK IN THE PIT!

Baltimore Ravens (SOS Roman Empire): I knew they were going to lose this game going into it. That’s not what I’m mad about. It’s how they did it. As history shows us no matter what the Ravens do to improve both on and off the field the Football Gods must throw a pie in their faces especially in an elimination game. (Excluding 2000, and 2012) But to be fair, they did put up a really good fight despite the fact that they were double digit underdogs and playing against a team that hadn’t lost at full strength since Week 5. But there is one thing that undid them. Mistakes. Penalties at the worst times, bad execution on 3rd Downs in the red zone, (Greg Roman will be blamed whether he deserves it or not) and then the big one. A chance to take the lead early in the 4th Quarter only to squander it on the 1 yard line via fumble returned for a TD because Patrick Mekari got exposed by an elite edge rusher yet again! (I lost a Super Bowl once in Madden by that same play) Even with Tyler Huntley’s tremendous effort I think Baltimore was losing this game regardless. There was no way the NFL was going to let possibly their most marketable figure lose to a backup QB in the 1st Round especially at home. This is the Ravens 5th loss in their last 6 playoff games. And most of them have been in heartbreaking fashion. (Plus Week 17 in 2016, 2017, and Weeks 17 and 18 of 2021) Now begins what possibly could be the nuking of this proud organization. Lamar Jackson, Marcus Peters, Calais Campbell, and perhaps Mark Andrews may all be gone. (Among others) I would say John Harbaugh too but that’s not how this organization works. Just ask the Patriots and Steelers about how living off past glory worked out for them. (I’m gonna need to make a document on a certain playoff game in 2019 aren’t I?)

Seattle Seahawks (Santa Clara’s Revenge): What a year it’s been for the Seahawks. To think that they would make the playoffs after trading Russell Wilson was thought of as insanity. As I said Pete Carroll did have a good point on how this team would shock everyone. That so happened to be the case in this game. Hell, they were leading the arch rival 49ers at halftime for crying out loud. But once San Francisco made adjustments Seattle ran out of gas. This was the learning experience for most of the players on this team. They’re still very very young. And their time will come to get another chance at glory. The question now is what do you do with Geno Smith? I think you keep him around. And considering the comments that have come out of their management crew, I think Geno is staying in the Emerald City. I will say this, Kenneth Walker is a game changer at RB, and they also have that Top 3 from the Broncos. If they manage this well, the Seahawks are set up for great success. Keep up the good work.

Minnesota Vikings (Typical Minneapolis): Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life, and it doesn’t matter what they did in the regular season, it doesn’t matter that they did something the sports world hasn’t seen since the 2012 Orioles, the Vikings will blow a clear shot at a deep run YET AGAIN. The main ingredients for why Minnesota had a minus point differential is what killed them in the end. Inconsistency on offense, and a defense that clearly hasn’t been what it once was. They made Daniel Jones look like Phil Simms for crying out loud. (I mean Jones has been on a tear recently) That may be true but how does that affect the offense which got stalled out by the Giants D. Then came the capper. Kirk Cousins throwing a checkdown on 4th and 8. For as good as he’s been this season that’s how his legacy in Minnesota will be judged on. Moments in the clutch. But to be fair any QB this team has ever had would make the same mistake. In other words Vikings gonna Viking! CLOSE BUT NEVER CLOSE ENOUGH! (Have fun with Cap Hell and Justin Jefferson possibly hitting the open market. PLEASE DON’T LET HIM GO TO CINCY!)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Squash Buckled): When we look back on this season for Tampa Bay we’re going to ask ourselves one question. How many flaws did Bruce Arians cover up over this roster? Considering how much talent they had, the Buccaneers should have at least made it to the NFC Championship Game again. But their issue all season was coaching. And it showed. Mike McCarthy and Dan Quinn yes have flaws themselves but they had no issues coaching circles around this flyover statesman of a team. If this is the end of Tom Brady’s prime it’ll be tough to see. I have never seen him get beat this bad in a playoff game since 2009 against the Ravens. That’s what the Cowboys did to them. Byron Leftwich was told to clean his office after this game but they should have let go of Todd Bowles too. It gets worse though. Even with Brady probably leaving, the Bucs are $55M over next year’s cap. They are screwed with a capital S. This is what happens after you win a Super Bowl, the gods demand punishment for success. It sucks but hey at least you got a ring.

Jacksonville Jaguars (Kissing the Frog): The Football Gods thank you for having us laugh at Dean Spanos and his overrated franchise once again. However the Jaguars must suffer the fate of their Cinderella Season bowing down to the might of Kansas City and Arrowhead. To be fair they did better than most people expected them to in this game. Once Mahomes went down I thought Jacksonville might pull this off. But then the Chiefs Pass Rush exposed Cam Robinson’s replacement at LT. Even if their season is over this is a major boost for the Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence may already be the best QB this team has ever had, most of their core is returning, and their prized acquisition at the Trade Deadline in Calvin Ridley will be free from his punishment of committing a Pete Rose. They’ll be busy this offseason and considering how weak the AFC South is, this could be their division of dominance for years to come. At least Trent Baalke’s reputation has been saved for the moment. (Just like Pederson, he needed a change of scenery, and right now it’s worked out)

Buffalo Bills (The McKinley Curse LIVES!): What the hell was that? What did I just witness from the Bills this postseason? THIS WAS THE TEAM THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO WIN THE SUPER BOWL? That’s what BillsMafia told us. They overlooked both the Dolphins and Bengals based on the fact that they thought those would be cakewalks. Heck Buffalo News sources had them as heavy favorites for the title. Every single pundit and fan believed in you. But just like their teams in the 90s, they crapped the bed at the worst time. They were lucky to even get to this point. If they had to play Tua or the Steelers they would have lost badly. The Bengals exposed the flaws of a Run and Shoot offense and a defense missing their whole secondary and pass rush. LITERALLY! Considering that ESPN called some of their players Super Bowl Whisperers throughout the season, this is complete and total karma. Even worse you’ve allowed the insufferable fans of Ohio to lorde over you like the entirety of Maryland and Pennsylvania. And here’s the worst part. This was their shot because cap hell is coming and they may be forced into trading away Stefon Diggs, and they have a ton of free agents. Just like with the Sabres the Pegulas are handcuffing the Bills with bad contracts. All Hail William McKinley! (I don’t think Damar Hamlin would have gotten you out of this mess even if he were healthy. That’s the sad part)

New York Giants (Wink Martindale = Carried by Lou Anarumu): Giants this is the point where the miracle run which was made possible by hard working coaches, and a team that never gave up must be put to sleep. You can’t even fault them for the most part, they just ran into a high speed SEPTA rolling down the tracks. (Get the irony) The Eagles were just on another level and no matter what Brian Daboll and the coaching staff did to adjust, Nick Sirriani was one step ahead. (“I know what the (Censored) I’m doing” -Sirrani) This should have been a lot worse than it was. And that’s only because Philadelphia took it easy on them in the 2nd Half. As good of a season as it was for the G-Men they must deal with their younger brother having all the shiny new toys to work with. They’ll be back here again, as long as they can lock up Daniel Jones and Saquan that is. (Considering the year those two had, they should be able to do so. Right)

Dallas Cowboys (Dak Prescott = Tony Romo 2.0): CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR TEAM ONCE AGAIN FAILED TO MAKE IT PAST THE 2ND ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS! Remember how you guys boasted over Thanksgiving about how this team was going to steamroll the NFC? Looks like karma found a way to bite you guys once again. In fact you got eliminated by your arch rivals in the Niners again. AND AGAIN Mike McCarthy took a gimme situation and laid an egg in the process. Cowboy Nation, remember how you guys were tired of Tony Romo and his choking habits? Good because you get to deal with the 2nd coming of him. Dak Prescott was made mincemeat by DeMeco Ryans for the 2nd year in a row. That and being held back by Kellen Moore’s playcalling will lead to their demise again. I thought the way last year’s Wild Card Game ended was bad. THIS WAS WORSE! I get why they would go for a lateral but why is Zeke the Center. That play was doomed right from the start. And it got Moore out of a job. I’m sorry Dallas but as long as Roger Goodell is commissioner you’re not winning a championship. Each year the Ginger Emperor must prove that he, not Jerry Jones, runs the NFL and anyone who disagrees doesn’t know what they are talking about. Sis, you really tried talking me into believing this team would make it to the Super Bowl? I hate to break this but you like the rest of that insufferable fanbase in Big D must suffer yet again. At least there isn’t any Cap Hell for them this year. That’s a positive.

Cincinnati Bengals (The Bungles Who Cried Wolf): When you go into an AFC Championship Game on a 10 game winning streak, are the Defending AFC Champions, haven’t lost a game with your best weapons healthy since Week 5, and have beaten Kansas City 7 of the past 8 going back to the Marvin Lewis years, arrogance should be high right? ABSOLUTELY! I’ve said it all year going back to this past summer and I’ll say it again. If you’re going to talk that much smack you better be able to back it up. For most of the season they were able to get away with it and make it back to the AFC Title Game. (Thanks to other teams’ self implosions, insane talent, or Greg Roman being an idiot) However if you mess with the Football Gods too much they will come back to bite you. Remember when Eli Apple and JaMarr Chase called the Blackout at M&T Bank Stadium WEAK only to lose that game in heartbreaking fashion? They took that thinking to new heights. Burrowhead? REALLY! The last thing you want to do is wake the sleeping giant of the NFL over the last five years. The Bungles did just that. Even the mayor of Cincinnati got in on the trash talking. All it did was fire up Chiefs Kingdom even more. Yes there was REFBALL including a late hit to set up the game winning field goal but to me the NFL made sure that Cincy got all the karma thrown in their faces. But even with that, Joe Burrow and company couldn’t take advantage of the chances they had to open up the game. (The only reason they had a shot at winning was due to 2 Circus Catches) I like most of the nation has no sympathy for the Bengals, not after how arrogant they’ve been since the Super Bowl last year. (Especially since I’m a fan of a rival) I would say they’ll be back, but I bet you any money the rest of the AFC, especially their own division, will be looking for heads. BADLY! (“BURROWHEAD MY ASS!” -Travis Kelce)

San Francisco 49ers (Shades of Veterans Stadium): (Beethoven’s 5th Symphony theme playing) Kyle Shanahan is a confusing figure. People call him an offensive genius who can light up the sky thanks to excellent creativity. However despite all he’s accomplished he has one fatal flaw. Crapping the bed in huge playoff games. Once again, his so-called perfect system was destroyed for 60 minutes by a defensive juggernaut. I hate to tell you this Bay Area but here it is. Only a Brick Wall could stop you, ITS NAME IS THE EAGLES! (Fitting since Shanahan was in Atlanta before he came West) The man known as Brock N Roll was Clubber Lang in the 2nd fight against Rocky. Dominated and left the stadium complex with a serious injury. The rest of the team followed suit. But to be fair the 49ers did make it farther than anyone thought they would especially with how uncertain their QB situation was. Now do you stick with Brock Purdy? It’s a hard question to answer but I think that’s the way they should go. If not it just means that Shanahan and John Lynch’s egos will hold them back of a 6th ring. FOR SHAME! PAUSE.

This postseason like the regular season was a test on fans blood pressure no matter who they are fans of. That’s what the NFL does to you. Now with the eliminated teams out of the way, let’s get to the main event. AFC who do you have going to the Desert in 2 weeks?

Kansas City Chiefs: (You Gotta Fight For Your Right to Party playing) THANK GOD! I was not going to have enough pepto bismol in my stomach to deal with the Bungles in another Super Bowl. Fortunately someone was listening to my request. Even if it was the team that has become just as hated as the team they overtook as the empire of the conference it’s all good. The Chiefs return to the Super Bowl can be described simply by them tricking the entirety of talk shows around the country. Think about it. After last year’s loss in the AFC Championship, Kansas City was potentially screwed. They invested almost 70% of their cap into 6 players. This forced them to trade Tyreek Hill to Miami and let go of the Honey Badger. Not to mention their whole division on paper got better. The Broncos made a splash trade for Russell Wilson, the Raiders sent a king’s ransom of picks to the Packers for Davante Adams, and the Chargers signed JC Jackson, and made a huge trade for Khalil Mack. There were many pundits that had the Chiefs not making the playoffs over all this. Even some of their own city was in doubt. All I can right now is that the reign of Chiefs Kingdom has returned in a big big way. Unlike previous years they were slept on in the regular season, and remember all those talking heads that hyped up division rivals before the season? Kansas City made them eat their words. They won the AFC West convincingly, and captured another #1 seed. In the playoffs they did have to overcome injuries, but clutch wins over the Jaguars and Bengals allowed them to have a return engagement in the big game. The offense has gone over a complete makeover since their last championship due to the salary cap. There’s only two starters remaining from their title run in 2019. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Those two like always have been leading the charge both on and off the field. As long as those two are healthy and playing at an elite level the Chiefs are in good hands. Mahomes has had to adapt his game from always looking for the big play, to having better field vision and making safe passes. His maturity in reading defenses this season has allowed the game to be easier for him. Kelce is still the best TE in football even if he’s in his early 30s. It doesn’t matter who you put on him, he finds ways to create separation and drive the opposing DC crazy. Those two are certainly the headliners. But the rest of the offense is full of depth and unsung heroes. At RB like most years it’s been a committee approach. Isaiah Pacheco has had a solid rookie season and has been their featured back for most of the stretch run. Jerrick McKinnon is a good 2nd option behind Pacheco plus he’s an excellent pass catcher to go with it. And there’s also Ronald Jones and Michael Burton just for insurance. What makes Kansas City’s run this season even more impressive is that they’ve done this without a legit #1 WR. But just like how they use their Running Backs, the Chiefs use a receiver by committee look to their advantage. Both JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdez-Scantling were let go of by the teams that drafted them because they thought they weren’t good enough. Since coming to the Chiefs both of them have exceeded expectations and give Mahomes solid options to go alongside Kelce. The receiver room is rounded out by speedsters Kadarius Toney, Mecole Hardman, and Skyy Moore. Their O-Line may be the best pass blocking unit in the game. The left side features All Pros like Orlando Brown Jr, and Joe Thuney. The right side of Trey Smith and Andrew Wylie may not be headliners, but they are solid for what they are. In the middle is a physical freak in Creed Humphrey. In his 2nd season he has already become one of the best Centers in the game. That line has been the key to their success. And it shows. (Kansas City Here I Come playing) On defense they have their flaws but it certainly has been better this year than in the previous few seasons. Their Defensive Front has been outstanding once again. Chris Jones and Frank Clark are two of the better pass rushers in the game, and both in the prime of their careers. Joining those two monsters this year are impact veterans Carlos Dunlap and Brandon Williams, along with a rookie sensation in George Karlaftis. They only have two starting linebackers but with the way Nick Bolton and Willie Gay are playing right now, who cares about linebacker depth around them. (Gay looks like Willie Lanier based on his helmet design) The secondary may be the weak link but it does have some talent back there. L’Jarius Sneed along with rookie Trent McDuffie may have gotten torched in the AFC Championship Game, but other than that game they’ve been able to hold the line. In place of the Honey Badger comes Justin Reid who is a younger version of him yet a better tackler. Juan Thornhill is a versatile option that can play back in coverage and in the box. The Special Teams have been near the top of the league as well. Harrison Butker may have been injured for some of the season, but his confidence was key on that last second kick in the AFC Title Game. Not to mention Tommy Townsend earned his first Pro Bowl this season and broke the NFL Record for most yards per punt in a season. (That record has stood since 1940) This year has reinforced one narrative. Andy Reid has always been a man with a plan. Considering that they’ve gone this far without their best receiver, the anchor of the defense, and in perennial Cap Hell since 2020 has been impressive. Yes he has Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce but the creativity of Reid has allowed them to play up to their abilities. We also have to give credit to the Hunt Family and GM Brett Veach. That crew consistently has put great teams on the field, and even if they come up short, it won’t stop them from doing everything they can to get back to the Super Bowl. Kansas City has been experts at player development. And this run is full proof of it. Now they have their chance to win a 2nd Super Bowl in 4 years. The only thing that can stop them is a Brick Wall coming from a city that has been the center of the United States this year in sports.

Philadelphia Eagles: (Rocky theme playing) I have been searching for a favorite NFC team for a very long time. I may have found it right here. No this is not because I’m a bandwagon, I live in the Philadelphia area, and I wasn’t going to be left out of this madhouse of insanity. (I didn’t go to any playoff games, but I did have a blast with my boys at PSU.) The Eagles making it back to the Super Bowl is seen as a huge deal in itself, but those fans are wired for football. But this is a dream scenario for their fanbase especially with the events going on in the City of Brotherly Love. Look at the year this city has had. The Phillies and Union making the World Series and MLS Cup Finals back in October, the 76ers are one of the favorites to make the NBA Finals this season, the Flyers may be the worst of those teams but they are one hot streak away from running with a playoff spot due to a weak Eastern Conference. This is probably the most romantic sports run by one city since Boston in 2018-19. (My family was either moving to Philly or Boston at the time. It was certainly a hard decision) Back to football, the story of how the Birds got to this point is insane considering where they were in 2020. 3 years after their first championship in the Super Bowl era, the Eagles hit rock bottom. Doug Pederson and Carson Wentz were exposed for the entire football world to see. The Marty Mornhinweg experiment blew up spectacularly, and it led to a civil war between coaching and the front office. There were even rumors that Howie Roseman would be out after the season. But then he told Jeffery Lurie these very words “Don’t say a thing I’ve got this.” Roseman knew how to get out of the mess he created. As bad as that 2020 season was for the Eagles it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened for them. They traded away Carson Wentz and Zach Ertz for 1st Round picks, they either used those picks on playmakers, more draft capital, or star players from other teams. Most of their squad this year was constructed off what they had left over from the Super Bowl team in 2017, or from those two trades. The leader of this squad came to Philly in between those key events. That man is Jalen Hurts. When he was drafted many said the Eagles wanted their own version of Taysom Hill. However Lurie since he became owner has always admired a mobile QB. In just two full seasons as a starter, Hurts has gone from question mark to the 2nd coming of Donovan McNabb. Like McNabb, the threat of his arm and his legs is a package that teams must be aware of. (Hurts gets the chance to do what McNabb never did, win a Super Bowl) At RB, they have one of the most underrated backs in the league in Miles Sanders who has enjoyed a career season and should be getting massively paid this offseason. (WE ARE!) The same can be said about Dallas Goedert who has become one of the best TEs in the game and if he didn’t get hurt at midseason would have gone over 1000 yards receiving. (He was the only reason the Timmy Jernigan/Mike Wallace Trade didn’t blow up for them) But Sanders and Goedert pale in comparison to their greatest receiving duo since Tommy McDonald and Pete Retzlaff. (See, I know the History of the Eagles) AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith were the main prizes of the tank year and the Carson Wentz Trade. Both have been perhaps generational talents at WR, and are impossible to cover. They are making Hurts’ job that much easier just like McDonald and Retzlaff made Norm Van Brocklin’s job easier in 1960. Can we also mention their O-Line which is flooded with Pro Bowlers and future Hall of Famers. Anchoring the line is Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson. Both of them were the leaders of that crew in 2017, and both are doing the same now. Although Landon Dickerson, Isaac Seumalo, and Jordan Mailata are studs in their own right. (Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme playing) The defense may be the most underrated unit in the history of the game. This crew in some ways could be better than the one they trotted out under Buddy Ryan. The reason I say this is because they have quite possibly the most loaded Pass Rush in the History of the Game. Four different players had 10+ sacks this season. Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox who you guessed it were on the 2017 team have been the leaders of that crew and are one win away from being on the same level as Jerome Brown and Reggie White in Eagles lore. The rest of their D-Line is insane. Javon Hargrave, Jordan Davis, Josh Sweat, Linval Joseph, Robert Quinn and Ndamukong Suh. The scary thing is that if Derek Barnett was healthy, they would be even more of a problem. Their linebacker room as a whole has the mindset of Chuck Bednarik, “When you get into that sort of a cannibalistic feeling all you wanna do is go out there, and like I said you just wanna kill someone.” That’s what they’ve done to opposing QBs. Hasson Reddick in his first year in Philly has become another generational player on a Pass Rush full of them. Other than Reddick the rest of the linebacker room may not have big names but they still are solid players. TJ Edwards and Kyzir White were no names before the season, now they are the team leaders in tackles. And there’s also Nakobe Dean in that room as well. He was injured for most of the season, but he certainly is one of the better special teams players despite a limited role. The secondary has allowed the fewest passing yards in football by a wide margin which they haven’t done since the Brian Dawkins era. Darius Slay has established himself as perhaps the best corner in the game this season. (He and Marlon Humphrey went the whole season without allowing a TD) James Bradberry has been an excellent #2 who has done everything that the Eagles asked him to do and more. Plus they have one of the more talented slot corners in the league in Avonte Maddox just in case the other two are banged up. Safety may be the weak link of this unit but don’t tell that to CJ Gardiner-Johnson, Reed Blankenship, and K’Von Wallace. Because those three will just hit you just like Weapon X would hit you. What about their special teams you say? Well they have the best kicker in football not named Justin Tucker in Jake Elliott, plus one of the best punters in the game in Brett Kern. Just like Ray Rhodes, Andy Reid, and Doug Pederson before him, Nick Sirriani has endeared himself to Lurie as well as Philly Faithful. In just two seasons he has turned this team from soap opera into one of the Greatest Teams of the Modern Era. He certainly knows what the (Censored) he’s doing as he pointed out during their Divisional Round blowout of the Giants. He has those guys locked in and the city has clearly rallied behind him and his assistants. To me this team is both the 2006 and 2019 Ravens rolled into one. And it’s fitting because Roseman and Lurie used those formulas to their advantage this season. And now they stand one win away from possibly being the Greatest Team not only in franchise history but maybe in the History of Philadelphia Sports. PAUSE.

Boy oh boy does the NFL love the flavor this Super Bowl matchup brings. The two most successful franchises in their respective conferences over the past five years each with a championship by their side. In my opinion this Super Bowl rivals the Harbaugh Bowl in terms of narratives, hype and storylines. Andy Reid is finally going against the team that made him into a Football Legend for the first time in the big game. Jason and Travis Kelce, two sure-fire Hall of Fame brothers, will be facing off against each other in what could be Jason’s final game. Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes represent the first in Super Bowl History. Never before have both teams had African American QBs as their starters. That trend ends this year. (It doesn’t matter who you are, as long as you can sling it, good things can happen) Both the Chiefs and Eagles have the same strengths and weaknesses in some ways. Dominant O-Lines, an excellent pass rush, a QB that can do it all, a deadly TE, and two front offices that have similar tendencies. It’s really a game that will feature two teams that have executed the fundamentals of football to perfection. And it will be a sight to see in the Desert. It’s the Capital of the Sports World against the Gold Standard of the NFL in the 2020s. The Andy Reid and Kelce Bowl with everything on the line! WHAT WILL BE THE PUNISHMENT FOR THE INTERNET TROLLS!?

Prediction: This is too close to call. Literally. Both teams have dominated almost everyone in their path on their way to the Super Bowl. However the Chiefs have weaknesses and the Eagles don’t. But Kansas City can make up for it with the balanced attack they have on offense. This game will be a true battle in the trenches. And whoever has the upper hand in that will ultimately be the winner. My prediction can be summed up by six letters and a word, and you know what those six letters and one word are, help me out Philly. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES! KEEP THE BALL ROLLING!
