If you are wondering why it has taken me so long to publish a College Football document, it has been because I have either been busy with school or looking at colleges or doing other documents. Enough with that, lets see what is going on with NCAA Football!
- Clemson: This school is a no brainer for #1. Dabo Swinney, Trevor Lawrence and company have been dominating everyone in sight. It appeared that Miami would give them a good test but the Tigers crunched them in the pouring rain at Death Valley. I wonder how they will do against Notre Dame.
- Alabama: ROLL TIDE! Every year the media says that this is the best team in terms of talent that Nick Saban has had at Alabama. So far they have been leading a tight SEC thanks to Mac Jones and Najee Harris who looks like another potential NFL stud in the future.
- Georgia: The Bulldogs have always been the one team that has been under the radar this season. That is because of Bama and their archrivals in the Gators for the last few weeks but now look like a force against thanks to offensive speed and a strong secondary. If you can beat Florida you should be good for another appearance in the SEC Title.
- Notre Dame: The Fighting Irish have so far lived up to usual hype from the networks and media. Brian Kelly has once again put together a god squad that everyone thinks will win yet another national title. To me the story with Notre Dame is the defense. They have been rock solid for the first 3 games. They have given up 13 points a game and are getting better and better. THE NARRATIVES NEVER DIE!
- North Carolina: Leading the hunt for the final spot in the College Football Playoff is North Carolina. Last week they smacked another ranked rival in Virginia Tech and have a softball schedule until they have to face the Fighting Irish Thanksgiving Weekend. With that high powered offense things are looking up for them.
- Ohio State: This weekend we get the return of BIG10 Football. Leading the conference again on paper is THE Ohio State University. Once again they are loaded for a chance at their first National Championship in Post-Urban Meyer. The defense is loaded with talent and speed, and the run game even without JK Dobbins is looking good once again.
- Oklahoma State: I have been shocked that the best team in the state of Oklahoma is NOT the Sooners. Dem Cowboys of Oklahoma State have been the biggest surprise in College Football this season. They have given up 27 points in 3 games and are leading the BIG12 as of this week. If they can beat Iowa State in 2 weeks they will have a strong chance at going to JerryWorld come December.
- Cincinnati: Leading the AAC is Cincinnati. The Bearcats so far have been one of the most dominating defenses in the country and have shut down anyone that tries to run the ball on them. If you look at their schedule it won’t be easy considering that they have to play SMU, Memphis, Houston, and UCF coming up. Does the Cinderella Story strike 12 who knows.
- Penn State: The Nittany Lions have their feet thrown right into the fire considering that their schedule is indeed difficult because they have to play Ohio State, Nebraska, and Michigan early in their schedule. If last year was a disappointment for Penn State this in their terms is Naty or Total Failure.
- Florida: Really, this was your response to everyone else trying to catch you in the SEC Gators. The good news is that they are still ranked in the Top 25 but have to face Georgia and Bama coming up. YIKES
- Texas A&M: The team that Florida lost to in Texas A&M is looking to once again gain ground on the contenders in the SEC. Walking off Gator Nation last week was a huge lift for the program because they are once again a true force to be reckoned with. I would not play them soft if I am Alabama or LSU.
- Oregon: Well at least the season is starting soon. All I can say is they are going to have to play extremely well in a loaded PAC12 Conference that is loaded. Whoever is replacing Justin Herbert is already under the fire.
- Miami: I won’t go too hard on the Canes because they got smacked by Trevor Lawrence and Clemson but there at least is once again a foundation of success being built at the U once again, I think they will win out except if they have to play Notre Dame.
- BYU: BYU in my opinion is the dark horse contender in College Football. Because they get no love yet find courageous ways to win and climb up the leaderboards. I think if they can keep up the momentum on both sides of the ball they can be a threat for the first time in over a decade.
- Auburn: Bama you’re most hated rival is BACK! That’s right. Auburn is back in the mix with defense and of course a well coached offense that isn’t as good as some of the other teams in the SEC but they are yes a threat for the chance at Atlanta in December. YIKES!
- Wisconsin: ON WISCONSIN! A team that appears to be the favorite to make it back to the BIG10 Championship. The rock solid run game, powerful offensive line, and defense gives the Badgers the chance at trying to avenge Ohio State and or Michigan. Good luck trying to get the lead in the conference this weekend.
- SMU: PONY UP! This band of HOTSHOTS and partyboys from Dallas is back in the Top 25 for the 1st time since the defeat last year to Memphis. Shane Buechele and the offense are once again leading the charge but the problem for SMU is that they can beat Cincinnati or Navy. Also please tell their students to be socially distanced for those games security guards.
- Tennessee: Really! Tennessee is back in the Top 25. I thought that Jimmy Haslem was busy trying to hack into their football program but NO they didn;t listen to him and once again are stuck in a loaded SEC. The main knock on them is that the defense is the strength of the team. If they keep this up they could get a spot in a decent Bowl game.
- Michigan: Jim Harbaugh is on a mission this year. He has seen what Andy Reid has done to his brother in the NFL plus what Ohio State has done to his Wolverines. If there is any coach in College Football that is out for blood it is Mr. Khakis. All I can say is can they for once get over the hump of the Buckeyes and the Horseshoe.
- Iowa State: There is absolutely no way that the Cyclones of Iowa State should be anywhere near a Top 25 ranking. This is a team that has struggled to close out games. The only reason they are even in the rankings is because they beat Oklahoma on home soil. Other than that I don’t see them knocking off Oklahoma State, Texas, and Kansas State.
- Louisiana: UL in my opinion is one of those teams that has talent but in my opinion is the mystery box. They either play up to potential or struggle to beat a bad team. I wonder what their next move will look like PAUSE THEY LOST TO COASTAL CAROLINA! LOL! This is the result of not playing a real team yet.
- Kansas State: How many people at the beginning of the season thought that Kansas State would beat both Oklahoma and TCU. I know it is a sight to behold. The story with the only Wildcat team in the Top 25 is the defense. They have talent and most of them will be around for a year or two. Remember they still have to play Oklahoma State, ISU, and Texas. YIKES!
- Virginia Tech: SANDMAN, WHAT SANDMAN! After a tough loss to rival North Carolina the Hokies are looking for a bounce back win against Boston College by any means necessary. They don’t want to have a rough record before facing the U and Clemson. This would be the start of that chase if they win this week.
- Minnesota: The Gophers lets see are looking to relive the magic from last year when they beat everyone in the BIG10 West not named Iowa. If they are going to keep up the momentum from last year they need that talented defense to carry the load if they want to make it to Indianapolis. Your first test just happens to be MICHIGAN
- USC: Cue that daunting fight song because it appears that USC is back for a chance at reclaiming its title of team to beat in the PAC12. I wonder who will be the tall QB that carries this team to another ridiculous season where he then gets picked high in the draft. All I can say is they BETTER LOSE TO ARIZONA STATE AND HERM EDWARDS!
