Broncos vs Jets: Well both teams are 0-3 and are injured and look doomed, this means one simple thing. PREPARE THE TANKS AND THE INJURIES! The Jets don’t have Le’Veon Bell because of injury as well as most of their starting defense, and the Broncos don’t have Drew Lock, their backup QB, Cortland Sutton, and Von Miller, and not to mention Jurrell Casey. This means that for Denver Brett Rypien is the starter and he played the way his dad did for the 1991 Hogs as well as Lock did last year. Sam Darnold did his best to keep up with the replacements from Denver, CRACK that is until the Football Gods shut him down again. So who is the Jets QB now? For me a familiar face in Joe Flacco, yes the so-called checkdown magnet was back and he did ok. Now he has to save Adam Gase’s job like he did with Ray Lewis and Ed Reed’s careers in 2012.
Steelers vs Titans: So it appears that the Titans were out at a Minneapolis NightClub after their game with the Vikings, it just happened to be the same bar where the St Louis Cardinals had all of their COVID cases birthed. In this case 8 Titans tested positive when they got back to Nashville. Most of them were scrubs so for the most part they dodged a bullet. The bad news for them was that their game against the Steelers in Week 4 was postponed to Week 7. The reason for this is because that is Tennessee’s original Bye Week. The game between the Ravens and Steelers that week was also pushed back to Week 8 because both teams have the same Bye weeks. Now that both teams have Week 4 Byes it is good for them but not their fans. As a Ravens fan I am so glad that the Pittsburgh game in Baltimore is now after the Ravens Bye Week because John Harbaugh is almost unbeaten in those circumstances. Plus if the Cowboys struggle and Eagles are in Tank Bowl Mode that would be a Sunday Night game on Halloween Weekend. Please open M&T Larry Hogan for that game and the rest of the home games afterwards!
Ravens vs Washington (Hogs): You know what this means. This game is separated because of another long Charm City Beasts Episode plus there have been some serious changes to the Ravens schedule, and nonsense from the media.
Browns vs Cowboys: Speaking of Dem Cowboys their rough start continued as the defense was no match for Odell Beckham and the Browns?! I wasn’t expecting this! PAUSE. Even as a fan of a division rival of Cleveland I am glad that they put Dallas in their place after the amount of smack their players and JerryBoy were talking about during the season. I think letting Byron Jones leave in free agency was the worst thing that could have happened to the defense. In this game they gave up over 500 yards of offense to BAKER MAYFIELD! To me this is what killed Mike McCarthy in Green Bay, he had to be bailed out by Aaron Rodgers plus Dak now has to put up almost 50 points to win almost every single game. Other than that the hype machine of the Browns is back. OH GOSH!
Cardinals vs Panthers: Well the Cardinals two weeks of treating themselves as hotshots is over. Well they lost a heartbreaker at home to the Lions, now they couldn’t stop a Panthers team without Christian McCaffery. I think Kyler Murray and Deandre Hopkins are doing everything they can to keep this team in playoff contention. But here is the issue, they don’t have defense and an O-Line.
Seahawks vs Dolphins: Miami has to be snakebitten in terms of their schedule this year. People think they are just a bad team but look at their 3 losses too. New England, Buffalo, and Seattle. All of them are Super Bowl Contenders. If we have a leader in the MVP race after the first 4 weeks it is Russell Wilson. He has played at a level that not many QBs in the league this year are playing. Keep it up!
Vikings vs Texans: A battle of two 0-3 teams doing everything they can to avoid meltdowns to their coaching staff. This is when the Vikings realize they are playing a bad team for once after their brutal schedule and stomp all over Houston for 3 quarters. Then in the 4th Texans were mounting a furious comeback, but then REFBALL came in to prevent them from victory. The Texans also shot themselves in the foot by running a draw play on 4th and goal from the 3. Well there goes their playoff hopes. I wonder what ownership will do? BOOM! It is done, BILL O’BRIEN IS GONE! The hack weight has been lifted off their shoulders. Years of terrible coaching and front office moves are dead. The only problem is if they decide to tank their first round pick is in Miami. Good luck getting back into the race.
Saints vs Lions: 1st Quarter: Oh my goodness the Saints are done 14 and Drew Brees is cooked, they won’t make the playoffs, and paying Alvin Kamara was a big mistake.
2nd-4th Quarters: Well it appears that the Lions defense went back to the way they played in the second half last year and New Orleans crunched them thanks to Brees and Emmanuel Sanders. The key of this lesson is to never count out the Saints. Sean Payton is still a Top 10 coach, the defense will only get better like last year, and Can’t Guard Mike will be back soon, Who Dat Nation is coming you Pirates!
Chargers vs Buccaneers: Speaking of the Bucs they played sloppy early on in a clash against Justin Herbert and the Chargers. In fact LA was up 24-7 in the 2nd quarter with a 91% chance at victory. This is when the religion of Spanos realizes they are facing yes Tom Brady. He, Mike Evans, and the rest of the offense torched the Bolts defense for 500+ yards and 38 points. Even if Tampa Bay won the game overall and prevented LA from forcing OT at the end of regulation this was Justin Herbert’s Coming Out Party in the NFL. If he keeps up his strong play they could have an outside chance at a Wild Card even with a 1-3 start.
Jaguars vs Bengals: Ok the Bengals and Joe Burrow have come close to winning each of their first 3 games with their new look offense. This time despite those 2 losses and the tie in Philly Burrow got his first win of his career. He and Joe Mixon dashed past Jacksonville all afternoon, Rain or Shine. Even if Gardner Minshew once again tried to ruin the Jags tank by nearly coming back to win. I think this was a stepping stone in the Bengals rebuild, PAUSE. Really Cincinnati! You guys think you’re HOTSHOTS ALREADY! You do realize you have to come to Baltimore next week and play a Ravens team that might get their fanbase back in person. PUT THEM IN THEIR PLACE HARBS!
Giants vs Rams: This game appears on paper to be laugher and OH MY GOODNESS WHAT IS GOING ON HERE! Yep, Jalen Ramsey is living up to his Chef nickname that he got in #Sacksonville by getting in a fight with Golden Tate and the Giants in the first half. Are you trying to be Josh Norman vs. OBJ in 2015? I think so. Despite the brawl between the 2 teams B’ig Blue kept the Rams close for much of the game but LA pulled away in the 4th to prevent any hopes of a Giant comeback. G-Men I have one request for you next week. BEAT DEM COWBOYS! If you do, all of the pressure is on Roger to flex Dallas and Philly out of the night game in Week 8.
Bills vs Raiders: This was a game I wanted to see the most other than the Ravens. Two young and hungry teams going at it in a hype machine of a game in Vegas. The Raiders do just enough to keep Buffalo close for 3 Quarters but then in the 4th. BLAM! The Bills crushed the Death Star thanks to Josh Allen and his deep balls to Stefon Diggs, and Cole Beasley. Vegas don’t worry, you guys will still be competing for the playoffs even if you lost 2 straight to real teams.
Colts vs Bears: Bears fans Welcome Back to Reality! This reality for Chicago fans is getting smacked by the Colts defense yet again. Even if Phillp Rivers was contained by Da Bears pass rush St Nick couldn’t do anything for much of the game against Indianapolis. I didn’t think that the Colts would be as good as they have been because of their defense. It turns out that Rivers doesn’t even need to do everything like in San Diego.
Eagles vs 49ers: ARE YOU READY FOR INJURY BOWL ON A SUNDAY NIGHT IN SANTA CLARA!? YES! In this game it appeared that Philadelphia was pulling out all of the stops to knock off a San Francisco team without Jimmy G despite injuries to Desean Jackson Alshon Jeffery and Javon Hargraves, not to mention Darius Slay. They did what everyone in Philly expected them to do even with the backups, WIN! Despite the score being 8-7 at halftime Carson Wentz finally proved that regardless of who he has on offense he can lead his team to victory. Nick Mullens could not. 9ers fans ONLY A BRICK WALL COULD STOP YOU FROM CATCHING THE SEAHAWKS? ITS NAME IS THE EAGLES!
Patriots vs Chiefs: Well this appeared to be a low scoring game. By the time we got to the 3rd Quarter, the score was 6-3 and the Patriots were driving for the lead and WHAT JUST HAPPENED!? PAUSE. I couldn’t even enjoy this game! It wasn’t just because of REFBALL it was also due to, in my opinion, Cam Newton testing positive for COVID and postponing the game until Monday. What are the odds of Cam testing positive and nobody else on the Patriots did? In my opinion the NFL is doing everything they can to let the Chiefs win every single game. Look at what happened last week. The Ravens came back from a 17 point deficit to cut the KC lead to 7 only for Mahomes and company to be gifted 2 3rd down conversions because of roughing the passer calls and a touchdown as well. This week Mahomes literally flopped going out of bounds and they called it a late hit on New England. Plus the Refs didn’t give the Patriots a chance to tie the game thanks to a fumble in the 3rd Quarter leading to the Chiefs blowing the game wide open. Patrick Mahomes is about to be the LeBron of the NFL and this is not going to end anytime soon!
Falcons vs Packers: The second game of the Monday Night doubleheader featured Aaron Rodgers and the Packers crunching the Falcons at Lambeau yet again. This was no contest despite the final score, Atlanta was no match for the Packers offense and Matt Ryan basically got now help. I think Dan Quinn should get the axe big time. An 0-4 start plus being in Cap Hell this offseason with a smaller free agent market. You know what to do ATL? BRING OUT THE TANKS!!!
