2020 NFL Weekly Recap: Week 3

Dolphins vs Jaguars: The Battle of Florida that was supposed to be a Tank Bowl when the season began turned into a battle for a battle of survival. In this case the winners were the Dolphins. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw the ball all over the Jags D and Minshew couldn’t respond. I feel like the Fins will be a dark horse because their first two losses were to 2 Super Bowl Contenders.

Rams vs Bills: Oh this was a laugher the Bills had a 28-3 lead on the Rams and their overhyped offense. But the Bills learning nothing from the Falcons in Super Bowl LI allowed their opponents to get back in the game. But this time Josh Allen prevented the miracle comeback and drove the Bills into position to win the game. Announcer: “Allen to endzone CAUGHT TOUCHDOWN THE BILLS HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD”. This is what we call a baller my friends. A world when the Bills are 3-0, not shocked.

49ers vs Giants: Well the Giants decided to bring in DeVonta Freeman after Saquan got the injury bug. The result was getting smacked by the 49er machine that has a backup QB as well. Even if the 49ers are the Favorites for the Injury Bowl they still have a chance to make the playoffs again. I don’t know because of how good their division is.

Hogs vs Browns: Washington going into the Dawg Pound and getting smacked by the Browns 2 Headed Monster. It appears that Baker Mayfield is once again playing the same way he did in college. I don’t because they beat 2 bad teams and to play Pittsburgh and Tennessee coming up. At least they are over 500 I guess.

Texans vs Steelers: Well the Texans are in Desperation Mode. They lost to the two best teams in Football in the first two weeks and got to play a contender in Pittsburgh as their 3rd game. Houston had a 21-3 lead only for the Steelers to come roaring back thanks to the Leader of Men known as Big Ben. The Texans offense went ice cold in the second half and was stopped again and AGAIN! The Steelers leading the division. NOT AGAIN!

Bengals vs Eagles: This game was very boring in the eyes of many except if you are an Eagles fan and want to win. The Bengals coming in were 0-2 yes but never took them lightly with Joe Burrow calling the shots. The Bengals in my opinion blew many chances to open up the game in the second half. Although Cincy had a 7 point lead Carson Wentz flashed his potential and helped guide Philly into a game tying touchdown. Afterwards no one could claim victory and the game ended in a tie. Considering the Eagles schedule they could be in serious trouble. At least they have the Phillies. BUZZER! The Flyers. BUZZER! The 76ers. BUZZER! Villanova Basketball BUZZER! Penn State Athletics. BUZZER! You know what that means Philadelphia? TANK BOWL TIME! COUNT ON IT!

Bears vs Falcons: Well how are the Falcons going to blow a huge lead this time they were up by 20 at home against an offense in QuickSand. This was going to be a statement win in the eyes of many BOOM! DON’T TELL ME THEY BLEW ANOTHER HUGE LEAD! They did, ok. The Bears benched Mitch Trubisky and brought in good old St Nick Foles. And what he did he do. Carve up the Falcons defense as well as Atlanta’s offense getting smacked by the secondary of Da Bears. I feel like Dan Quinn should have been fired last week after the collapse against Dallas. Arthur Blank you know what to do now in everyone around the NFLs minds. BLOW IT UP! SELL EVERYTHING! I am not kidding, stop running this organization like a Mom and Dad and trade assets. This is why no one wants to watch this team anymore.

Titans vs Vikings: The Vikings are in must win territory already, they lost their first 2 games to Green Bay and Indianapolis. Now they face a tough challenge in the Titans. Kirk Cousins and Kyle Rudolph did everything they could to hold off Tennessee from a 3-0 start. The issue for Minnesota is that they no longer have the defense to take them to their full potential. Ryan Tannehill roasted the Purple Gang in the second half as well as Stephen Gostkowski bailing out Mike Vrabel again. The Titans being Super Bowl Contenders, I thought it was fake last year but they are for real.

Raiders vs Patriots: Raiders great job on the win last week! Now they get the chance to become a Super Bowl Contender by trying to beat the Patriots at Gillette. What is the result, Vegas being no match for Cam Newton and New England’s offensive attack. Derek Carr was the only reason the Raiders had the chance to win the game and he got no help. Plus it appears that the Patriots have entered the meeting room of Super Bowl Giants again. I wonder what they will do against the Chiefs and Ravens.

Jets vs Colts: Jets fans welcome back to the dark corners of the basement and tank bowl! For this exhibit they get to watch the Colts offense dazzle them right before their eyes. Sam Darnold went from franchise savior to meme in a span of 2 years. I feel like Le’Veon Bell was right about this organization. He is a great player that is getting no help from a bad team. Poor thing.

Lions vs Cardinals: Really the Lions played up to their offensive potential for once. Can we say that this was delayed by almost 4 years. Matt Stafford was playing pitch and catch with his receivers like they were playing Madden. Even if that was the case Arizona bashed Detroit’s defense and its injured secondary for 3 quarters. But at the end of the game the Cards went flat. The Lions got the win but for Arizona this game was indeed a missed opportunity for a chance at a 5-0 start in the future.

Buccaneers vs Broncos: Tom Brady can’t play in Denver they said. Oh boy are these people wrong. The Bucs offense torched the Broncos secondary with the help of Mike Evans, It appears that Denver is entering not only the Injury Bowl but once again they have to hear these very words. BRING OUT THE TANKS AGAIN! I feel like Elway made yet another coaching mistake by hiring Vic Fangio.

Panthers vs Chargers: The Bolts started Justin Herbert again after Tyrod Taylor was out yet again with that stomach problem. This time Herbert was exposed all game by a defense that is bad on paper. I feel like this was one of those games where someone had to win and the Chargers weren’t ready to take it. Even if they rallied in the 4th Quarter to make this a close game the Panthers held on to win. There goes their one good game against the Chiefs.

Cowboys vs Seahawks: Americas Team playing in America’s Game of the Week again! That is something that we will be saying a lot this year. In this game both Dak Prescott and Russell Wilson attacked each other with long drives and precision. Even if the Seahawks had chances to open up this game by leading 30-15 Dallas stormed back to take the lead. But just like in Green Bay Mike McCarthy gets let down by his defense. Seattle comes back and wins the game because of Wilson and the defense stopping Dak again. That was a good game I have to tell you.

Packers vs Saints: Well the 2 best receivers on the field for both teams may have been out but this game was indeed a track meet. Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees went back and forth at each other all night as no one seemed to stop the other offense. But in the 4th quarter the Packers defense stepped up and smashed the Saints offense and caused the Bayou to lose their cool. I don’t think the Saints are underachieving. I think the Packers are actually that good even if they have one good receiver and Aaron Jones in the backfield.

Chiefs vs Ravens (Preview of Charm City Beasts Episode 3): This game did not happen! I refuse to believe it. The Ravens getting busted by their new Kryptonite AGAIN!!!
